Dr. Ashutosh Kumar

Founder

Dr. Ashutosh Kumar is a Senior Interventional Cardiologist & Electrophysiologist with 15 years of experience in Cardiology. He did his MBBS & MD from the Banaras Hindu University. He obtained his DM Cardiology from the Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research, Kolkata. He headed the Department of Cardiology at Narayana Medical College, Nellore. He did his fellowship at the National Heart Institute, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. He did his observership in advanced electrophysiology procedure at the German Heart Center, Munich, Germany. Aurora Health Center, Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA, and Veteran General Hospital, Taiwan. He is one of the four Cardiac Electrophysiologists from India who has the International Board of Heart Rhythm Examiners {IBHRE, USA} which certifies for the Cardiac Device Specialist {CCDS}. He is also a certified Electrophysiology Specialist in Adult Cardiology {CEPS-AC}.

Dr. Ashutosh Has been felicitated with fellowships from the world’s esteemed organizations “The American College of Cardiology” FACC, “The European Society of Cardiology” FESC, “Heart Rhythm Society” as FHRS, and “Society of Cardiology Angiography and Intervention” as FSCAI. Dr. Ashutosh has been working as Clinical Director of Electrophysiology in-dept Cardiology at Care Hospital Hyderabad since May 2016.

Dr. Bhawani Goru

Co-Founder

Dr. Bhawani Goru is a Distinguished Professor in the Department of Pharmacology at Narayana Medical College & Hospital, contributing over two decades of extensive experience in clinical pharmacology and medical education to the Heart Beat Foundation. She possesses a solid academic foundation, having earned her MBBS from Srikrishna Medical College in Muzaffarpur and an MD in Pharmacology from the prestigious Banaras Hindu University. Throughout her career, Dr. Goru has occupied significant roles, including Consultant Clinical Pharmacologist at Care Group of Hospitals and Clinical Scientific Expert at Novartis. As an active member of the Pharmacological Society of India, Dr. Goru has made substantial contributions to medical literature, publishing numerous research articles in both national and international journals. Her commitment to the field extends beyond academia, as she has successfully led impactful community initiatives, such as the All-India Total Literacy Programme.

Fluent in several languages, including Telugu, English, Hindi, and Bengali, Dr. Goru is dedicated to advancing healthcare through education, research, and community outreach. Her vision for the Heart Beat Foundation is to foster a healthier future by promoting awareness and education on cardiovascular health. Through her leadership and unwavering commitment, Dr. Goru aspires to make a significant impact on individuals and the broader community, ensuring a brighter, healthier tomorrow for all.

Dr. Pragya Pyasi

Secretary

Dr. Pragya Pyasi is a dedicated academician and social worker committed to community welfare and healthcare awareness. She is working as an Assistant professor at the University of Hyderabad. Beyond her academic contributions, Dr. Pyasi is actively involved in social service and public health initiatives. She is currently associated as the Honorary Secretary of the Heart Beat Foundation, Hyderabad.

In addition to her work with the Heart Beat Foundation, Dr. Pyasi has been engaged in various social welfare initiatives. She previously served as the Director of AAROHAN (Jhansi) and is the Secretary of TWISHA (Jeypore, Odisha), where she has led projects focusing on education, rural development, and healthcare advocacy. Her efforts have been instrumental in organising awareness programs, and social empowerment projects that bring essential resources and knowledge to marginalised populations.
